I would like  to ask you a question,....................How did Sri Lankan "Mega-teledramas " appear??

This would bring a flash back of a series of "Sinhala Mega-teledramas" that you enjoyed interestingly through out last few years. This form of art was flourished in the Sri Lankan context as a consequence of kind of a delicious  recipe provided for the appetite of the Sri Lankan audience. This effort was successfully overcame by our teledrama directors and actors.
They identified the taste of the Sri Lankan audience and that resulted in appearing Mega-teledramas on our screen with Sri Lankan colouring .Specially the people representing the ordinary class embraced this style with love.So there's no doubt that the actors of the each and every Mega-tele-drama won the hearts of the audience. Then when we refresh  our memory about Mega-teledrama "Paba", I do not imagine of anyone who deny it.Deprived of age limits, the people continued to enjoy its story line. But of course there were many who considered them to be unimportant. Then what so ever it seems that people got addicted to this form of art within a short period of time
.Moreover it seems that Sri Lakan teledrama directors have imitated the style of Indian Mega-teledramas to a great extent in order to bring about the justice to the audience. So I'm pretty sure they did it and we tasted its value.
The character of "Paba","Amantha"and "Mervin" became more popular among people. The sarcastic expressions of "Mervin" added humour to the teledrama while the love story of "Paba" and" Amantha" painted  it to be colourful and exciting. Then when it comes to the love story of "Sansala" and Danuka" in the Mega-teledrama "Bonda Meedum", the audience got an haunting experience of romantic love.Actually the youngsters experienced sentimental love through this teledrama .Most of the story lines seemed to be powerful enough to communicate with the feelings of the audience. So more frequently almost all the youngsters responded to this style it seems .That's why no one bothered about spending many hours in front of the television.Because the teledrama tempted them that much.
Further with the influence of the Mega-teledrama,s the actors and the actresses began even to popular with their character names.  Then with this trend a horrible competition was begun among television channels. They brought out various teledramas in their channels along with various  quiz competitions in order to attract the audience. So this essay marks the arrival of typically Sri Lankan Mega-teledramas and its popularity.
